Michael Andrew Daly
Michael is proud to be joining such a brilliantly talented group of artists. Hailing from Salisbury, MD, Michael moved to NYC after getting his undergrad training at Elon University. Past favorite productions include, Pirates! at Papermill Playhouse, Oklahoma! at Fulton Opera House, Ragtime and Jekyll and Hyde, both at North Carolina Theatre, Tom Jones, The Music Man, Return to the Forbidden Planet, and most recently Body Language with the Active Theatre, where he received a Best Supporting Actor nomination from the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Raissa Dorff
Originally from Philadelphia, Ms. Dorff studied voice and acting at The Catholic University of America. Favorite credits include Mary in Serenading Louie, lead singer and the Actress in Enter the Guardsman on board the QE11. Other credits: lead singer in the national tour In the Mood, a 1940's big band review, Amalia in She Loves Me, Fiona in Brigadoon, Christine u/s in Yeston/Kopit's Phantom. Most recently Ms. Dorff appeared at the NY International Fringe Festival and Encore Series as Dorothy Dix in Terranova. Raissa serves as the Associate Artistic Director for The Active Theater.

Danny Katz
Danny Katz recently played Harold, the lawyer, in the Active Theater's production of Body Language in the Midtown International Theatre Festival. NYtheatre.com called his portrayal of Harold's white collar sleaziness, "perfection." He was Josef, the policeman, in the musical To Paint the Earth that Michael Bush directed for the New York Musical Theatre Festival. On television, he recently played a judge in the Hallmark Hall of Fame Presentation of Loving Leah on CBS. He hails from Newton, Massachusetts and is a graduate of Amherst College, Cambridge University, University of Pennsylvania Law School, and Columbia University where he received an M.F.A. in Acting. |

Amy Miller Brennan
Amy Miller Brennan most recently performed as Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes at Actors Playhouse. She received her MFA in Acting fom The Actors Studio Drama School/New School University and degrees in Music and Theatre from Birmingham Southern College. NYC credits include Sunday in the Park With George, Metamorphoses, The Miracle Worker and The Active Theater's Body Language which earned her a Best Actress nod. Regional credits include Ariel Moore in Footloose (Carbonell Nomination), Faith in Respect, a Musical Journey (G4 Productions), and Amalia in She Loves Me at The Caldwell Theatre. She is proud to serve as Director of Marketing for The Active Theater. |

Nathaniel Shaw
Nathaniel is the proud Artistic Director of the Active Theater. For Active, he has been seen as Kyle in Touch, was the Director of Body Language at MITF, and will be seen in the upcoming production of Romance, Romance under the direction of Marc Robin. Other NYC credits include Pale in Burn This and Alex in Serenading Louie, as well as a 3 year stint with the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Regionally, he has been seen as Curly in Oklahoma (the Fulton), Ren in Footloose (the Actors Playhouse), Joe Hardy in Damn Yankees, Caleb in 7 Brides...--Lonesome Polecat solo--(Sacramento Music Circus), Jesus in Godspell, Lt. Jason Watson
Jason Watson has been a quietly up-and-coming performer in NYC for the last several years. After using the city primarily as a home base while performing across the country and around the world, Jason is looking forward to some exciting prospective projects here in the city in 2010. To kick the year off, he'll be joining The Active Theater, playing the role of Alfred in their upcoming production of Romance, Romance. National Tour: Jekyll & Hyde; Regional credits include: Evita (Che), Guys and Dolls (Sky), Chess (Anatoly), West Side Story (Tony), JCS (Judas), Joseph...Dreamcoat (Joseph), Nine (Guido), Forever Plaid (Jinx) and the title role(s) in Jekyll & Hyde. Jason is also an accomplished photographer and a humble husband. |

Jason Podplesky, Acting Coach Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jason has an MFA in directing from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music and a BFA in acting from Otterbein College. In New York City he has worked at The Flea Theatre, The Classical Theatre of Harlem, The Public Theater, Manhattan Class Company, Blue Box Productions, The Galapagos Art Space, The Crown Point Festival, and was a member of the 2006 Lincoln Center Theater Director's Lab. Jason was a resident artist and acting instructor with the Contemporary American Theatre Company for 7 years and has worked regionally at The Guthrie Theater, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, North Shore Music Theatre, The Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, The Red Herring Theatre Company, and the Cleveland Sign Stage Theatre. He has taught acting at Denison University and Ohio Dominican College before coming to The College of Staten Island where he currently teaches acting and theatre history. |

Brad Ross, Musical Director Brad is a composer, pianist, and vocal coach. His music has been performed at The Kennedy Center, on CNN, at The Manhattan Theater Club and The Long Wharf Theater, Off-Broadway at The York Theater and The DR2 Theater, and at Carnegie Recital Hall. Winner: Richard Rodgers Development Grant. Off-Broadway: Little By Little and The Tales of Custard the Dragon. Cast recordings: Varese Sarabande. Three shows licensed by Samuel French. Commissioned by The Kennedy Center to compose Ogden Nash's The Tales of Custard the Dragon based on Nash's beloved books. A Family for Baby Grand, a musical story for narrator and orchestra, has been performed nationwide by The Philadelphia Orchestra, The National Symphony at The Kennedy Center, The San Diego Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Orlando Philharmonic, San Antonio Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, and The Jacksonville Symphony.
